The Collaborative for Leadership, Education, and Assessment Research (CLEAR) at NJIT promotes pathways for success of students in college, career, and citizenship in the digital age through a multi-stakeholder approach.
CLEAR’s mission is to support effective education and collaborative leadership through the use of educational best practices and technology. The goal of CLEAR is to develop materials, programs, and activities for stakeholders that promote networking and collaboration to enhance collaborative leadership and effective education especially in STEM.
Vital to the success of CLEAR’s charge are the following initiatives:
- Supporting the efforts of educators and leaders whose schools are on the path to becoming certified through the self-assessment and improvement process of the Future Ready Schools – New Jersey certification program
- Promote collaboration to integrate and advance disciplinary activities, knowledge, and practices through STEM and STEAM initiatives
- Increase and broaden participation in STEM and STEAM opportunities, majors, and careers, especially for women and underrepresented minorities
- Promote the effective and efficient utilization of digital learning tools in curriculum, instruction, assessment, and professional development
CLEAR seeks collaborators in all areas of the K-20 educational and research arena that aligns with our vision and mission. We have a number of ongoing projects and activities as well as collaborators at NJIT and with our community partners.
